We have moved! Erin is now in room c343 at Sunrise Hospital (we basically moved down one floor). We have a private room, yet another blessing! The move went pretty well and Erin is finally getting settled into her new home. Although we are in the same hospital, the different floor had to go through the complete admission process and go through all of the same questions that she had just answered.
We were glad to hear that Erin's mom and sister made it back home safely. We miss having them here, but the few days we got to spend time with them were very uplifting.
We are going to relax tonight and watch American Idol and Modern Family. Hopefully we'll have a chuckle or two!
Thanks again for all of the texts, calls, emails, and comments. I have been reading her everything that is sent to me and pass along messages.
Big day tomorrow....signing off-
Erin and Andy

Hi Erin and Andy,
ReplyDeleteI couldn't believe the news but am so thankful you are doing as well as you are. And I'm so glad Andy is there with you. You have a steel will, Erin, so I know you will get through the difficult rehab. This blog is a wonderful space for us to get a glimpse into how well you are being taken care of and how hard you are working to get better. Sending my love and strength, Mary
Dear Erin and Andy. My heart just broke when I heard what has happened. I have been praying hard for you both (as well as your families). Our couples group prayed for you last night at church also, and I know we will continue to pray. I know that you are a toughie Erin, and you will do all you can to get on the road to recovery and back to Iowa. You're not missing any great weather or anything, so no need to hurry for that! Take care. Love, Ronda C
ReplyDeleteSo I see from the blog entries that you're already doing more than expected as far as rehab goes. I never expected to hear anything less, you're such a fighter Erin! We love you, and we're proud the progress you are already making. Wish you weren't so far away.

Dear Erin and Andy. You have the prayers of 14 sixth graders and a truck load of female middle aged elementary teachers on your side, so I'd expect you to be up and at it in no time. Iowa farm girls are TOUGH! You are in our thoughts and prayers. Keep up the fight!

Hey!!! Glad you are doing better and fighting through the PT! That's the Erin I know. Andrea and I talk all day everyday about you, and we can't wait for you to be home with us. Keep on keeping on and hopefully soon you will be back in the "Ridge". And hopefully those toes are still looking mighty fine too :)
