Good morning everbody (I guess afternoon back in Iowa)! Today has started off well. Erin was a little stiff and sore after the night but had a wonderful physical therapy session! She was nervous going into it, but did an amazing job sitting up, pulling herself up to stand with a walker, and transfering to another chair where she sat for nearly an hour and a half even though she only had to be there for a half hour. She ate buckwheat pancakes, eggs, and oranges for breakfast and has taken a little nap.
We have heard that we will more than likely be moving to the rehab floor this afternoon. We are really hoping for a private room, but will make whatever type of room work!
Thanks again to everybody for all of the well wishes and a big thanks for all of you that have sent gifts. I special Phi Alpha goes out to the "mystery SAE" from Tampa...:)
More to follow soon!
Love,
Erin and Andy
Hi guys -
ReplyDeleteYou don't know us, but we are friends of Liz and Nick Andersen in Franklin, TN. They asked those of us in their small group to pray for you guys, so we wanted you to know we are doing just that!
It sounds like you're expected to make a full recovery, which is awesome! We pray you'll use this experience to encourage others as they deal with scary situations like this one in the future.

Hi Erin & Andy!
ReplyDeleteYou are such strong, amazing people! We know you'll continue to fight and allow this to become even stronger! Know that you are constantly being lifted in prayer by SO many people (even our small group here in TN!:)).

ReplyDeleteHi you two!
ReplyDeleteThanks for starting a blog so we can follow Erin's healing process. Lady, you are such a trooper! You are going to be home in no time at all.
We are sending positive thoughts in your direction, though we know that your super husband (and your awesome family) will take good care of you.
P.S. Make sure the foot massages don't stop after you are out of the hospital. :)
Sending love from MN to Vegas...

"mystery" gifts are often sniffed out if the shipping label is present, I'm assuming ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe are (along with our entire church staff) praying for you both daily; Erin for a safe and fast recover and Andy for continueing to be a True Gentleman to his beautiful wife...which I know you have!
Love and miss you both!
